Raspberry Chia Pudding – delicious, easy and vibrant breakfast that only calls for 4 ingredients!
You can’t beat a good BANANA flavoured dessert, especially when that dessert is a CHEESECAKE! I don’t think I’ve ever had a banana cheesecake before but I had no doubt banana would go well with cheesecake.
Sometimes all you need to lift your mood and energy is a nice, cold and refreshing smoothie! And what’s more refreshing than a tropical mango banana and coconut smoothie?Even the colour is bright and cheerful! Naturally sweet from the mango and banana with a hint of coconut.
If you’ve been following me for a while you will know how much I absolutely love overnight oats! It’s definitely my go-to breakfast recipe especially if I know I’m going to be in a rush in the morning and won’t have much time to prepare breakfast. There are so many fun ways to change it around so that each morning you have a completely different tasting breakfast!
Banana ice cream is by far the best, tastiest and healthiest way to cool down on a hot summer’s day, in my opinion. It’s so quick to make, given that you have bananas in your freezer which I make sure I always do during summer in anticipation for such scorching days, and it’s so creamy and delicious without any guilt whatsoever!
I absolutely adore this recipe! This bread is so moist, sweet and really good for you! Baking is my passion, I can easily live on baked goods (breads, cakes, cookies…you name it!), but they have to be healthy, of course! Otherwise the guilt would totally take over, not to mention the bloating and mood swings that follow eating sugary, fatty goods!
If you’re familiar with the concept of overnight oats, buckwheat porridge is similar but with a slight twist. Buckwheat is one of those ingredients that not may people are familiar with, outside the health community of course! You can now easily get hold of buckwheat as it’s available in most supermarkets and online. I’ve also noticed more and more brands adding it to their granola, muesli and snack bars.
I filmed a short video showing you how to make healthy porridge – all you need is oats, some form of liquid and a pan! Typically when I make porridge I would add some cinnamon to flavour, a mashed banana, some dried fruit (dates and raisins are my favourote!) for some natural sweetness and some nuts, seeds or nut butter for some healthy fats and a bit of crunch. To top it off, i like to add some fresh fruit, berries and whatever else I fancy on that particular day.
Banana ice-cream is probably one of my favourite healthy/clean eating discoveries. The first time I made banana ice-cream (AKA nicecream or nana ice-cream) I was blown away by the simplicity, and the results were close to perfect! How can a humble frozen banana equal a creamy, sweet and decadent ice-cream? Nothing added – no sugar, no cream, not salt…NOTHING!
As an IBS sufferer I really have to be careful what I eat, particularly for breakfast. Usually if I start the day off wrong, my digestive system will play up the rest of the day no matter what I do. I would get this heavy unsettling feeling in my stomach, like a brick. It feels like the food sits there for hours and I start feeling so tired, sluggish and lethargic. Pancakes were one of those foods that I had to avoid in the morning!
