Vegan Chocolate Protein Smoothie Bowl – quick and easy high protein breakfast, snack or healthy dessert idea using 5 ingredients only! Also gluten-free and dairy-free
I’m welcoming the new year with this vegan rocky road fudge recipe – creamy, indulgent and so so delicious. All while being gluten-free and dairy free. I opted to use xylitol to sweeten it so the fudge itself is sugar-free; however, I struggled to find vegan marshmallow that was also sugar-free, so I’m just using what I could get hold of!
Only just over a week left before Christmas! If you’re like me and left Christmas shopping until the last minute, here’s some fun foodie gift ideas to help you out.
I’m not going to argue that Christmas pudding is probably one of the perfect traditional post-Christmas dinner desserts; However, it does take hours to make yourself. Of course you always have the option of buying a ready made Christmas pudding which will most likely be full of sugars and additives. I’m not saying you shouldn’t indulge, but if you would prefer a healthier treat that you can make at home in less than 15 minutes, then I’ve got you covered.
Baking is my therapy. Whenever I’m feeling stressed or agitated, I always find that baking makes me feel better. The whole process of sifting, measuring, mixing, then knowing I’ll have something yummy to enjoy at the end of it. It also leaves the house smelling so homely and inviting 🙂 my house definitely smelt good when making these Chai Spiced oat bars.
You can’t beat a good BANANA flavoured dessert, especially when that dessert is a CHEESECAKE! I don’t think I’ve ever had a banana cheesecake before but I had no doubt banana would go well with cheesecake.
I’m one of those people who has to snack between meals. I start feeling irritable, uneasy and low on energy when leaving to much of a gab between meals and I feel so much better when I eat small and often. Here’s some fantastic snack ideas that are quick and easy to take with you on-the-go.
Sometimes all you need to lift your mood and energy is a nice, cold and refreshing smoothie! And what’s more refreshing than a tropical mango banana and coconut smoothie?Even the colour is bright and cheerful! Naturally sweet from the mango and banana with a hint of coconut.
I know I’m not alone when I say this – I’m obsessed with avocados! Another thing that I love is bruschetta – the crispy bread it’s served on, the flavours and the simplicity of the idea! I’ve made simple tomato and basil bruschetta many times, then one day it occurred to me, why not add avocado? It made perfect sense.
