Chai Spiced Porridge
Autumn is here and it's time to bring out the festive spices. Cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger and of course not forgetting my favourite spice of all...cardamom!!

Chocolate for breakfast, who could say no to that? I love porridge, and adding chocolate can only make it taste that much more delicious. I'm sure you would all agree with me! However, just because this recipe has the word 'chocolate' in its title it does not mean it's not healthy, in fact, it's the opposite. Full of good carbs, natural sweeteners, good fats and antioxidants. This chocolate porridge recipe only takes 10 minutes to make (because who has more than 10 minutes to prepare breakfast!)
I filmed a short video showing you how to make healthy porridge - all you need is oats, some form of liquid and a pan! Typically when I make porridge I would add some cinnamon to flavour, a mashed banana, some dried fruit (dates and raisins are my favourote!) for some natural sweetness and some nuts, seeds or nut butter for some healthy fats and a bit of crunch. To top it off, i like to add some fresh fruit, berries and whatever else I fancy on that particular day.
This banana blueberry baked oatmeal is vegan, dairy free and can easily be made gluten free. You could add some protein powder, nuts or seeds to make it a more well rounded breakfast.
