Healthier protein cookies that only call for 5 ingredients and are super easy to make – these no-bake vegan protein chocolate cookies are lower in added sugars and perfect for when you get those sweet chocolate cravings!

You know how much I love quick and easy treats that take hardly any time to prepare and call for only a few ingredients. It makes it easier for me to eat healthier homemade foods, but also makes the recipe more accessible for others. I would like to think that most of my recipes are easy enough for anyone to follow even if you don’t have any experience in the kitchen. Especially knowing how busy life is these days and how little time we all have to be spending in the kitchen when we have a million and one other things on our to-do list!

Another thing I like to make sure of is to make my treats as healthy as possible while still tasting delicious. Adding protein powder to desserts is a great way to bump up your protein intake, but also helps make the treat/dessert more balanced and less likely to give you blood sugar crash. Snacks higher in protein will also make you feel more full, sustained and content for longer meaning you’re less likely to want to snack on other treats later on.

I’m one of those people who can’t go a day without having chocolate in some form or another. Even if it’s just a square or two of dark chocolate. Even better when it’s in dessert form that’s healthier for me than having other common go-to snacks like biscuits and crisps.

I’ve teamed up with Garden of Life to create these 5 ingredient no-bake vegan protein chocolate cookies, which have a good source of healthy fats from the almonds and lower in sugar. So much better than shop bought protein bars with fewer ingredients, cheaper and even tastier (in my opinion!). The protein powder adds a lot of sweetness without bumping up the added sugar intake and a lovely hint of vanilla, which complements the chocolate so well! They’re not too sweet and have just the right amount of chocolatey goodness to satisfy your chocolate cravings!

As well as being vegan, Garden of Life vanilla protein powder is also organic, non-GMO and raw. Made with 13 Raw sprouted proteins and each serving containing 22 grams of protein, making it a great addition to plant-based breakfasts, snacks and desserts! It also contains vitamins A, D, E and K – fat soluble vitamins best consumed in a fat containing meal, which these cookies have from the addition of almond butter.

What I love about Garden of Life vanilla protein powder is that you don’t get that strong artificial flavour that you get with many plant-based protein powders making it perfect to use in desserts. Also, knowing it’s made from high quality organic ingredients without any nasties, extra sugars and additives means I know I’m fuelling my body with what it needs whilst still feeling like I’m enjoying a dessert!
