This 3-ingredient healthier banana chocolate fudge recipe is the perfect example of an easy dessert that takes no time to prepare and is actually good for you!

3-Ingredient Healthier Banana Chocolate Fudge

As the title of this post suggests, you only need 3 ingredients – banana, dark chocolate and nut-butter (or seed butter for a nut-free version), that’s it!

This is my new favourite obsession. I don’t know why I didn’t think of combining melted chocolate and banana before. I had tried making fudge using things like mashed sweet potato and pumpkin puree, which essentially has a very similar texture to mashed banana. So there was no reason for it not to work just as well.

If you use ripe bananas, you also get a distinctive banana taste, which I love. If you’re not a banana fan, this is probably not for you, but if you are, you need to try this recipe ASAP!

I also used some peanut butter to add to the fudgy texture, but also for an extra source of healthy fats to make the fudge a little healthier/more balanced. I haven’t tried adding protein powder yet, but that could also be an amazing addition.

These 3-ingredient healthier banana chocolate fudge are best stored in the freezer, but they only take 10 minute to defrost and each the perfect fudgy consistency. Freezing them also means you don’t need to worry about eating them all within a few days or anything going to waste. This will make a great chilled treat for summer now that the weather is warming up.

What you need to make this 3-ingredient healthier banana chocolate fudge:

Bananas – The texture of bananas actually works perfectly well with the melted chocolate to create a fudgy, gooey texture that’s so irresistible. Ripe bananas (with a few black spots on the skin) add more sweetness and that banana taste.

Chocolate – I prefer using a dark chocolate (70% and over) for a rich and decadent chocolatey taste.

Nut butter – This will add to the fudgy texture, but also some much needed healthy fats to make it a more balanced treat. Any nut butter will work, or you can use a seed butter for a nut-free option.

This 3-ingredient healthier banana chocolate fudge is:

  • Gluten-free
  • Can be made nut-free
  • Easy to make
  • Only calls for 3 ingredients
  • Better for you than regular fudge
