A few days ago I uploaded a post talking about applesauce, its benefits and its uses, so I thought this would be the perfect time to show you how I make my own homemade unsweetened applesauce. I use applesauce in a lot of my baking and you would be surprised at how easy it is to make at home! Essentially all you need are some apples, water, a peeler and a pan!
Before embarking on my healthy eating journey, I never thought to make my own homemade jam. It just seemed like too much of a faff and when you have endless options at the supermarket, why bother? When going out to restaurants, I wouldn’t even consider looking at the salad section of the menu. “How can a few leaves and some tomatoes fill you up? Salads are boring” I was so wrong!
If you think salads are boring, then you more than anyone need to try this recipe! There was a time when I thought salads were boring, but that was mainly because I never experimented. My salads always consisted of tomatoes, cucumber and lettuce…that’s it! And even though there is nothing wrong with that combination but as you can imagine, it did eventually become so boring!
On most evening, I like making quick and simple recipes, like these healthy tuna patties. All you need to do is chop a few ingredients, mix everything in one bowl, shape into patties and shallow fry for a few minutes and you’ll have a tasty and satisfying meal. You can eat these tuna patties on their own with a side salad and sweet potato fried, or you can turn it into a burger with layers of tomato, lettuce, a slice of cheese and a drizzle of Sriracha…perfect!
If you’ve never tried, or even heard of chia pudding then you’re in for a treat! Some may say that chia seeds have been over-hyped the past year or so, which may be true but with good reasons.
