Delicious cookies that are super easy to make and taste delish! These 4-ingredient almond cookies are a must try.
Did you know you can make cookies using only 4 ingredients? AND they’re much better for you compared to regular cookies. They’re also vegan and gluten-free.
I’m still trying to keep my recipes super simple with as little ingredients as possible since food shopping is still a bit of a pain with having to queue up and certain items still being out of stock. Also simpler recipes like this mean they’re a lot faster to make and leave less washing up behind!
Why buy unhealthy cookies filled with sugar, fats and God knows what else, when you can easily make a delicious cookies from scratch in no time using better-for-you ingredients? It really is a no brainer! You can also easily double the recipe if you want a bigger batch to feed more hungry mouths.
These 4-ingredient almond cookies are made up of:
- Ground oats
- Almond butter
- Maple syrup
- Dark chocolate, and that’s it!
The dark chocolate is optional, but I think chocolate always makes a dessert that much nicer! Salt is always a necessary addition as far as I’m concerned when it comes to baking, but again it’s optional.

So glad you enjoyed them Vidya 😀 You can definitely enjoy them without, but I think the chocolate just adds that little extra yumminess 😉
I made these on a whim two days ago because my husband was craving something chocolatey, not a common event, and let me tell you… our brains exploded!!! So so so good!! He now says these are the only cookies he wants me to bake. They are absolutely delicious!!

Can use another flour
Hi Fatima 🙂 I haven’t tried the recipe with other flours, but it should work with something like plain flour or buckwheat flour. Let me know if you try them 🙂
Hi
Do you use roasted, salted, or blanched almonds?
Hi! I used blanched ground almonds 🙂
I see you use a lot of ground almonds on your recipes. Can ground almonds be substituted for almond flour?
It’s not easy to find almond flour in the UK, that’s why I use ground almonds 🙂 You can use oat flour/ground oats instead though.
delicious . healthy , so fast to prepare .
So glad you enjoyed them Ramia 😀 xx
So happy to know amazing vegan cookie recipe! Can I replace almond butter with peanut butter?
Peanut butter will work just as well 🙂
Can I use almond flour instead of ground almonds. It’s readily available here in the US
Hi Lorraine 🙂 I haven’t tried the recipe with almond flour and don’t have much experience using it, so I can’t say for sure how they will work out. It should work, but you may have to adjust if the dough is too dry/wet. Sorry I couldn’t be more specific!
