These turmeric spiced roasted nuts are my favourite new thing to snack on, especially mid-morning time. This is another breakfast recipe inspired by cake! If I was ever asked this question ‘If you could only eat one cake for the rest of your life, what would it be?’ I would probably have to say ‘date and walnut cake’ even though it would be a painful decision to make since I love all and any type of cake! I have always preferred rich, dense cakes and loaves over light, spongy and creamy cakes.
If you think salads are boring, then you more than anyone need to try this recipe! There was a time when I thought salads were boring, but that was mainly because I never experimented. My salads always consisted of tomatoes, cucumber and lettuce…that’s it! And even though there is nothing wrong with that combination but as you can imagine, it did eventually become so boring!
There is no denying that winter has arrived. The joys of numb toes, fingers and in my case, a very red nose.
I felt the cold, crisp air hit me this morning more than ever! But I’m not sad about it, on the contrary, I’m one of those people who embraces the cold season and actually looks forward to it. The only things I’m not keen on is the shorter days, the increased rain probability and…weight gain! I’ve already put on 2kg and it’s not even Christmas yet! *sigh*
